Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Construction Worker to join our team at Forbes Bros. Group of Companies. As a Labourer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of our construction projects in the northern Saskatchewan region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Safety: Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures, and work collaboratively with the team to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Trenching and Excavation: Assist in digging and backfilling trenches, and ensure that all necessary safety precautions are taken.
  • Cable Installation: Help pull and place underground and overhead cable, and ensure that all connections are secure.
  • Material Handling: Carry and move materials as needed, and assist in site setup and cleanup.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate small equipment and hand tools, and assist in spotting for vehicles and equipment.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum one (1) year experience in the construction industry.
  • License: Valid Class 5 Driver's License required.
  • Skills: Ability to recognize site hazards and implement hierarchy of controls to eliminate hazards with crew members.
  • Physical Demands: Able and willing to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions and environments, inclusive of heavy lifting.
