The Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Canadian immigration and refugee lawyer to join our team as a full-time contractor. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in preparing and submitting immigration applications, drafting legal submissions, attending court hearings, and liaising with government departments and tribunals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling files and applications in various areas of Canadian immigration law, including Temporary Resident and Permanent Resident, Economic and Business Immigration, Enforcement, and Immigration Litigation.
  • Representing clients in court and navigating complex immigration procedures.
  • Liaising with government departments, courts, and tribunals to ensure seamless communication and case management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Called to the Bar in a Province within Canada and authorized to represent clients under the IRPA.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Canadian immigration law as a Canadian immigration and refugee lawyer.
  • Experience in preparing and submitting immigration applications, including those involving inadmissibility, enforcement, and out-of-status applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to analyze complex information and present it effectively.
