Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of data across multiple sources and systems to maintain accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
  • Enhance data pipelines for optimal performance and scalability.
  • Provide technical assistance to quickly resolve escalated incidents and outages.
  • Develop and document comprehensive solution designs, sharing your expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Translate business, Enterprise Architecture, system performance, and development standards into functional, technical, and user interface designs for applications and systems.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose strategic solutions to improve cost efficiency and enhance stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, compliance with standards, reusability, and ease of maintenance, along with Operational Readiness Reviews, and support gating and review sign-offs for solution designs.
  • Ensure designs utilize existing reusable components, align with business requirements, and that new modules are created with reusability in mind.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends and technologies related to data engineering.
  • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
  • Implement data products curated by the Chief Data Office, as well as custom data models tailored for specific use cases.
Required Skills and Experience:
Essential:
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience as a Java developer.
  • Proficiency in Java and Spring frameworks.
  • Experience with big data technologies: Hadoop, HDFS, ADLS, ADF, Spark, Kafka, Databricks, Dremio, etc.
  • Familiarity with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Cassandra.
  • Experience in designing production-grade, scalable applications and microservices.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Capital Markets.
  • Experience working within Agile teams.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
Preferred:

Familiarity with Python and Scala.
