About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Velocity Machining & Welding Inc. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating computer-controlled machine tools to produce precision parts and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts using precision measuring instruments.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to ensure accurate production.
  • Set up and adjust production machineries/tools to achieve optimal performance.
  • Fabricate and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance.
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.
  • Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances.
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments.
  • Operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce precision parts.
Requirements
  • Machinist Trade Certification.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Experience with Mastercam CAD/CAM software.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
