About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our large-scale construction projects in Vancouver or Toronto. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and results-driven professional to join our team and take on a challenging role that offers significant growth potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and coordinate the development and execution of project plans and schedules, ensuring the highest safety and quality standards.
  • Apply the requirements of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to promote overall compliance of HS&E standards with all employees and subcontractors.
  • Develop and maintain the construction schedule in conjunction with the project team to meet milestones and completion dates.
  • Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support the project's ongoing progression.
  • Provide strong leadership to construction team members, capitalizing on individual and group strengths to ensure project targets.
  • Identify and manage opportunities and risks to achieve the best possible impact on schedule and financial targets.
  • Maintain, track, and report all financial aspects of the project, including forecasts and billings.
  • Manage the procurement process, including subcontractor/trade/supplier negotiations and awards.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of construction experience as a Senior Project Manager or similar direct supervisory role on large-scale residential, mixed-use, and/or office construction projects.
  • Completed post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline (an asset).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, costs, budgets, and current construction practices and methodology.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, understand, and interpret stakeholder needs.
  • Strong negotiation skills; ability to influence and persuade others to reach consensus.
  • A track record of building successful teams and promoting teamwork through motivating and coaching.
  • Must have and maintain a valid provincial driver's license.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements.
