Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our team at BC Children's Hospital. As a key member of our dental team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our dentists and patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists with all aspects of dentistry, including procedures and patient care.
  • Ensure accurate and complete dental and medical health records.
  • Maintain dental instruments and equipment, and manage dental supplies.
  • Expose and process dental radiographs, and perform laboratory duties.
  • Perform prophylaxis, fluoride, and fissure sealant procedures.
  • Provide patient education and demonstrate preventative techniques.
  • Assist with quality assurance standards and documentation.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a recognized Certified Dental Assistant program, plus one year's recent experience.
  • Current registration and licensure as a Certified Dental Assistant.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
