We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Catholic Secondary School Principal to join our team at the London District Catholic School Board. As a leader in Catholic education, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and vision for our schools, ensuring academic excellence, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide educational leadership and direction to school staff, ensuring alignment with the board's strategic plan and Catholic values.
- Develop and implement effective instructional programs, promoting student achievement and well-being.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and the broader community, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
- Manage school resources, including budgeting, staffing, and facilities, to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
- Collaborate with other school leaders and board staff to develop and implement policies, procedures, and initiatives that support Catholic education.
- Ontario School Principal's Certificate - Part 1 completed & Part 2 completed or in progress to be completed by the start date of the appointment.
- Part 1 - Religious Education or Equivalent (Minimum Requirement). Specialist (preferred).
- Part 1 - Special Education or Special Education for Administrators AQ (preferred).
- A Master's Degree (preferred).
- Completion of the Called to Lead Program or in-progress (preferred).
- Vice Principal Experience.
- A minimum of five (5) years recent teaching experience in the secondary panel is required.
- Recent experience in Catholic leadership at the school and/or system level.
Qualified applicants are required to provide a resume of qualifications and experience, a cover letter, and the names and contact information of two references. The Board reserves the right to limit the interviews to those who are deemed ready for promotion.
