Job Description

The Dietary Aide plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of our meal services. You will be responsible for preparing and serving meals, performing catering services, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Food Preparation: Prepare food for serving to residents, adhering to high-quality standards
  2. Customer Service: Respond to resident or family member concerns and ensure prompt resolution
  3. Catering Services: Perform set-up, serving, and tear-down services at booked events
  4. Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, family members, visitors, and volunteers

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food services, preferably in a retirement residence, long-term care residence, or hospitality environment
  • Secondary school education or equivalent
  • Preferred qualifications: Food Safe Level 1 Certificate, Smart Serve Certificate, and First Aid Certificate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
