Homewood Health is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in supporting our organization's financial planning and decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform financial data analysis and reporting to inform business decisions
- Participate in the period-end close process, including journaling transactions and account reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements and monthly departmental variance reports, including detailed salary analysis
- Provide exceptional customer service and accounting expertise to cross-functional areas
- Assist with the year-end external audit process and prepare relevant working papers
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency
- Two plus years of relevant accounting and financial analysis experience, with a focus on healthcare knowledge
- Superior Excel skills for advanced data manipulation and analysis
- University degree or College diploma in a related field, with a completion of or close to completing an accounting designation
- Experience with AS400, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or Sage is considered an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to all levels
