About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at Big Ben's Fish and Chips Inc. As a key member of our culinary operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Train and develop kitchen staff in their job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and culinary techniques.
- Estimate and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with our chef to develop new menu items and improve existing ones, ensuring that they meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that our customers receive excellent service.
- Prepare and submit reports on kitchen operations, including inventory management, staff performance, and customer feedback.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in a kitchen supervisory role, preferably in a fast-paced food service environment.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including food safety, sanitation, and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers.
