We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Tim Horton's.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that high-quality products and exceptional customer service are consistently delivered.
Key Responsibilities- Establish efficient methods to meet work schedules and deadlines, guaranteeing seamless service delivery.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff members who prepare and portion food, promoting teamwork and productivity.
- Train new staff members in job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Evaluate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory levels.
- Ensure that all food and services meet our rigorous quality control standards, adhering to established guidelines and regulations.
- Address customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally, resolving issues in a fair and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for future decision-making.
- Develop and implement effective work schedules, considering the needs of our staff and customers alike.
- The successful Food Service Supervisor will lead a team of 5-10 staff members, including food service counter attendants and food preparers.
- This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Standing for extended periods is an essential aspect of this position, as well as being able to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs) on occasion.
- A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required for this position, along with 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience in the food service industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Candidates must demonstrate strong initiative and flexibility, with a client-focused approach to their work.
- Tim Horton's offers a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
