Job Title: Senior Analytical Chemist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytical Chemist to join our team at LGC Group. As an Analytical Chemist, you will be responsible for analyzing chemicals from various sources according to our established procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct experiments to accurately characterize products while ensuring effective usage of resources
  • Initiate the analysis of products daily with integrity, accuracy, and efficiency within encouraged timelines
  • Build Analytical Result Records in a high-quality, accurate, and timely fashion
  • Interpret and report analysis results in accordance with applicable procedures while adhering to strict guidelines of documentation and reporting
  • Basic depth of analysis to interpret basic non-conformance results arising in NMR, MS, HPLC/GC, and CHN results due to bulk impurity and/or mishandling
  • Analyze data acquired and identify out-of-specification (OOS) results
  • Participate in routine maintenance and calibration of instruments

Requirements:

  • Good theoretical and practical knowledge of NMR and MS and analytical methodology and separation techniques
  • Proven knowledge and experience using analytical techniques and instrumentation
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and time management
  • Very good analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Self-starter; task-oriented with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good at handling stress and outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in organic chemistry, bioorganic chemistry, or similar technical program with an emphasis on analytical chemistry
