Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 per year, based on industry standards and the level of experience required.

Job Description
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
  • Fabricate or repair metal parts and products using various welding techniques, including gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG).
  • Determine weldability of materials and operate previously set-up welding machines.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in metal fabrication or a related field.
  • Excellent manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail.
