Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Manager, Fund Accounting to join our team at SS&C Technologies. As a key member of our fund accounting team, you will be responsible for managing client issues, reviewing reports for accuracy, and training and mentoring fund and senior accountants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage client issues, including trade processing, fund valuation, fee calculations, and investor reporting
  • Review client and investor reports for accuracy and compliance with fund offering documents and service level agreements
  • Train and mentor fund and senior accountants to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively
  • Solve product, technical, and procedural problems raised by fund accountants to ensure efficient and accurate processing
  • Improve efficiency and throughput by streamlining processes and implementing best practices

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Significant mutual fund or investment accounting experience
  • Thorough understanding of US and international investment characteristics, including common and exotic investments
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other financial software
  • Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Ability to work afternoon shift to cover clients located in the US
