Job Summary
DARK Enterprise is seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Long Haul Professional to join our team. As a long haul truck driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring accurate inventory and minimizing damage.
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, maintaining a clean and well-maintained vehicle.
- Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Perform brake adjustments, emergency roadside repairs, and pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle integrity.
- Perform preventive maintenance, adhering to scheduled maintenance and repair schedules.
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring accurate communication and timely updates.
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to maintain accurate records.
- Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo during transportation.
Requirements
- Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
- Flexibility, judgment, organization, reliability, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing circumstances
- English language proficiency
