Cashier Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team at North Nechako Foods. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and processing transactions accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries
  • Count and reconcile cash drawer at the end of each shift
  • Process returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the cash handling area
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Previous experience in a retail or cash handling environment is an asset
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide excellent customer service
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
