Quality and Reliability Manager for WESCAM Products

Harris Geospatial Solutions develops and manufactures advanced optical systems for defense and military applications.

This role is critical to the success of our production team, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary contact for the production team, providing assistance in troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.
  • Create and maintain documentation to support manufacturing changes, including test procedures, work instructions, and MES authoring.
  • Attend daily cell standup meetings and participate in cell MRB meetings to support closure of NCRs.
  • Maintain manufacturing processes and procedures for WESCAM products, including creation of PFMEA, SPC, FPA, control plans, tooling, and test procedures.

Required Capabilities:

  • Manufacturing engineering experience in a high-tech assembly environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of systems, electro-mechanical, electro-optical, manufacturing, and process engineering.
  • Technical communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.

Desired Education and Experience:

  • A well-rounded optical background with manufacturing engineering experience in a high-tech environment.
  • A university degree or 3-year college diploma in engineering physics, physics, aerospace, mechatronics, or optics coupled with relevant work experience in optics or manufacturing engineering.
  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
