Job Description

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing construction projects across Ontario, working closely with the Vice President of Property Development and Construction. This role requires a strong understanding of various disciplines, including structural, technological, mechanical, electrical, and building systems.

The incumbent will provide expert advice and share specialist knowledge on complex construction project implementation issues, such as construction phasing and scheduling. They will also recommend innovative approaches and solutions to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

The Senior PM will manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans while adhering to overarching goals. They will work closely with general contractors, architects, engineers, and other partners throughout the project life cycle.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Acting as the primary liaison with the general contractor and/or construction manager
  • Assembling requests for proposals for required consulting services
  • Managing and coordinating consultants
  • Completing due diligence requirements associated with municipalities, stakeholders, and zoning approvals
  • Assembling tender documents for various forms of construction contracts

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of successful project management/construction experience, proven problem management and issue resolution skills, and the ability to present information clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
