We are seeking a skilled Echocardiography Technologist to join our team at KMH Cardiology Centres Inc. in Burlington and St. Catharines. As a key member of our Echo team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic medical ultrasound images to assess cardiac structure and function. Your expertise will help our physicians diagnose and treat patients with accuracy and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct echocardiography examinations in accordance with CoreHealth/Accreditation Canada, CMRITO, and KMH protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Use independent judgment and critical thinking to ensure accurate data capture and patient safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring examination rooms are properly supplied and equipped.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other KMH staff to provide exceptional patient care.
- Attend team meetings and participate in continuous professional development through self-study and attending courses or seminars.
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience in a similar role performing Echocardiograms, Stress Echo, and Contrast Echo is an asset.
- Current registration in good standing with CMRITO (College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario).
- Proof of Professional Liability Insurance.
- Familiarity with GE Vivid machines.
- CPR certification.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (MS Word and Outlook).
- Experience with EMR systems.
- Ability to provide coverage at both labs in Burlington and St. Catharines.
