Job Summary

Silver Hills Bakery is seeking a skilled Millwright Journeyman to join our production team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and report any irregularities or malfunctions, and implement corrective actions to prevent downtime.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices, such as cranes, jacks, and tractors, to position machinery and parts during installation, setup, and repair.
  • Install, align, take apart, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces, and generators, according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
  • Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance work on machinery to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls to ensure seamless operation.
  • Operate machine tools, such as lathes and grinders, to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or setup of machinery.
  • Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.

Compensation

The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $42.00/hour, with additional premiums for afternoon and night shifts.
