About the Job

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Child Care Live-In Caregiver to join our team at Fatima Pacheco. As a live-in caregiver, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and support to our children in a safe and healthy environment.

Responsibilities
  • Child Supervision and Care: Travel with our family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
  • Personal Care: Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, and instruct them in personal hygiene and social development.
  • Discipline and Guidance: Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals for the children.
  • Rest and Sleep: Prepare infants and children for rest periods and ensure they get adequate sleep.
  • Education and Development: Organize activities such as games and outings for children, and supervise and care for a multi-aged group of children.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, and ensure the children's emotional well-being.
  • Transportation: Take children to and from school and to appointments.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Work Environment: Non-smoking and scent-free environment.
  • Work Setting: Employer's home in a rural area.
  • Security and Safety: Vulnerable sector check required.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, work under pressure, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent written communication, flexibility, initiative, team player, time management, patience, and honesty.
