Job Title: Elevator Installation Support

Garaventa Lift is a leading international company specializing in the design and manufacturing of wheelchair lifts and home elevators. We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented individual to join our Technical Support department.

Job Summary:

This is a fast-paced customer contact role where international customers receive installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting advice. The ideal candidate will have practical knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical controls, or complex machinery, and be able to communicate effectively with customers via email, telephone, and in-person.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, the successful candidate will act as the gateway to Garaventa for field technical issues related to our lifts.
  • Communicate with customers to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Provide tier 1, 2, and 3 troubleshooting support, including use of schematics, wiring diagrams, and sequence of operations to determine faults.
  • Gather technical information from manuals and transmit to customers.
  • Process parts orders, identify correct parts for field repair or replacement, and parts lookup.
  • Process and adjudicate warranty and claims.
  • Identify quality issues and defect patterns.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of technical and product bulletins.
  • Limited travel may be required.
Requirements:
  • Elevator Mechanic, Electrician, or Mechanic preferred. Equivalent field experience is accepted.
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are beneficial).
  • Excellent written communication and clear, concise verbal communication.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Goal and team-oriented.
