About the Role

EllisDon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our team. As an Assistant Superintendent, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of large, complex construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with providing overall construction supervision, including review of design for constructability, adherence to project budget, implementation of site safety program, implementation of site project quality program, and adherence to project schedule.
  • Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team's ongoing progression.
  • Assure construction compliance with design requirements and project construction schedule by supervising and coordinating site trades, supervising other site activities, supervising field engineering and other construction activities.
  • Implement EllisDon's Safety Program to create and maintain a safe work environment on the job site and adhere to safety and record keeping requirements.
  • Mentor project team members to ensure career growth and development.

Requirements

  • Construction related degree and 3 to 5 years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience working on large ICI construction projects.
  • Knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to quickly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes, produce workable solutions and lead a large team to successful completion.
  • Enjoy working in a team environment and providing mentorship and guidance to a site team.
  • Secret level security clearance.
