About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Butcher Apprentice to join our team at 21 Century. As a Butcher Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and processing of meats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare meats for processing or cutting
  • Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat
  • Wrap and package prepared meats
  • Remove bones from meat
  • Grind meats
  • Shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with extended periods of standing
  • Physically demanding, requiring heavy lifting and handling
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
