Concrete Finisher

A skilled Concrete Finisher is required to join the team at Adeer Contracting Ltd. The successful candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing, with experience in filling hollows and removing spots on freshly poured cement. They will also be responsible for operating power vibrators to compact concrete, levelling top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification, and imparting a desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.

The ideal candidate will have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and at least 3 years of experience in the trade. They will be physically demanding, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The work term is permanent, with a 40-hour work week and English as the primary language of communication.

Responsibilities include:

  • Filling hollows and removing spots on freshly poured cement
  • Operating power vibrators to compact concrete
  • Levelling top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification
  • Imparting a desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
  • Installing anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures
  • Applying hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
  • Waterproofing, damp proofing and restoring surfaces
  • Repairing, resurfacing and replacing worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
