Our Team and Culture
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance department at Coulson Group of Companies.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing financial transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable transactions in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Review and verify invoices, ensuring proper coding and approval procedures are followed
- Prepare and manage cheque runs, ensuring timely payment to vendors
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Purchasing, to resolve issues related to purchase orders and invoices
- Develop and maintain accounts payable systems and procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Support the Finance team with period-end close procedures and external audit requirements
- Assist with other ad-hoc projects as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma required; accounting or business diploma preferred
- Minimum one year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders
- Positive attitude and team player
- Adaptable and able to prioritize tasks effectively
Benefits:
- $18.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience and education
