We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Operations Manager to lead the Core Laboratory Department at Dynacare. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the laboratory, maintaining high-quality standards, and fostering a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement departmental procedures, policies, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company objectives.
- Manage the scientific and technical functioning of the department, including the development and implementation of new methods and changes to existing methods.
- Ensure the effective management of Health and Safety programs, including the investigation and resolution of quality deficiencies.
- Develop and recommend strategies, plans, and continuous improvement programs to align with business goals and support company objectives.
- Manage the departmental business planning and goal development process, including the development and execution of a one-year business plan.
- Collaborate with the Director, Operations to review scientific issues and challenges.
- Undergraduate degree or specialization in a healthcare field or equivalent experience related to the position.
- In-depth knowledge of statistics and management reports.
- CMLTO registered Medical Laboratory Technologist.
- Extensive clinical technical experience, knowledge in Core Laboratory.
- Lean Six Sigma certification an asset.
- Experience in planning, preparing, and devising work schedules.
- Experience in applying project management principles and techniques an asset.
- 6 to 8 years of previous managerial experience and demonstrated increased responsibility in a clinical environment.
The successful candidate will work in a normal office environment and a medical laboratory environment.
The salary for this position is $91,000 annually.
