Job Title: Wastewater Treatment Plant Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wastewater Treatment Plant Worker to join our team at IMP Aerostructures. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective treatment of wastewater at our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain filtration and clarification systems to remove contaminants from wastewater.
  • Monitor and control pumping systems to ensure optimal treatment and distribution of water.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Collect and test water samples for chemical and bacterial content to ensure water quality meets regulatory standards.
  • Wear and use Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) equipment to ensure safe working conditions.
  • Complete and maintain plant logs and reports to track treatment processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist with the installation, assembly, and repair of equipment to ensure optimal treatment and distribution of water.
  • Maintain chemical feed stocks and make adjustments to plant equipment and systems as needed.
  • Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctioning and ensure plant systems are operating normally.
  • Operate and monitor computerized control systems and related equipment to regulate the treatment and distribution of water.
  • Patrol plant to check pumps, motors, filters, chlorinators, and other plant equipment to ensure optimal treatment and distribution of water.
  • Transport and mix chemicals, and operate equipment used to unload chemicals to ensure safe and efficient treatment processes.
Requirements:
  • Backflow prevention Certification
  • Water wastewater operator Certification
  • Confined Space Entry Training
  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate
  • Water Treatment Certificate (Levels I, II, III or IV)
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
