Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Arena Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Jacobson & Greiner Group. This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours of work per week, with a mix of weekdays and weekend shifts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ice maintenance and production, as well as experience operating heavy machinery such as the Zamboni. Additionally, they will be able to perform preventative maintenance tasks on power, lighting, and building systems, and possess basic computer skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating the Zamboni and mini-Zamboni for shooting bays
  • Maintaining and resurfacing ice surfaces
  • Performing operational and preventative maintenance on equipment and systems
  • Managing inventory of supplies
  • Providing excellent customer service and interacting with students, customers, vendors, and staff
  • Addressing concerns and providing assistance as needed

Requirements:

  • Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector/Child Abuse Registry Check
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Knowledge of ice maintenance and production
  • Ability to run the Zamboni and previous experience in a similar setting (asset)
  • Mechanical aptitude
