Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Arborist Trainee - Distribution to join our team at Lucas Tree Experts. As a Ground Operations Technician/Arborist Trainee, you will be responsible for safely operating various forestry equipment, performing line clearance, pruning, and removals, and working outdoors in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate forestry equipment, including woodchippers, hydraulic equipment, and chainsaws
  • Perform line clearance, pruning, and removals
  • Work outdoors in various types of weather
  • Meet physical demands of the position, including walking on uneven grounds and carrying 75 lbs.
  • Learn how to run a bucket truck and operate equipment safely
  • Obtain a CDL Class 3 license and First Aid and WHIMIS Certifications

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age with a High School Diploma/GED/or equivalent
  • Must have a current and valid driver's license with reliable transportation
  • Must be willing to work at varying heights up to 75 feet
  • Must be able to successfully complete a post-offer physical and drug screen, as well as a background and motor vehicle check
