About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Pet Valu. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for coaching and developing your team to deliver exceptional customer service and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of employees to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
- Recruit, train, and develop employees to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles
- Manage store operations, including inventory management, store maintenance, and loss prevention
- Collaborate with the store manager to develop and implement business plans and strategies
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of retail management experience, preferably in the pet care industry
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent required
