Job Title: Personal Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Support Worker to join our team at JANIS CARE SERVICES.

Job Summary:

This is a casual position that requires a high level of independence and flexibility. As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide personal care and support to clients in their homes, assisting with daily living activities, administering medications, and promoting their overall well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer bedside and personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and mobility
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Assist with light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Cook and assist with meal preparation
  • Shop for food and household supplies
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field
  • Community disability studies Certificate
  • Geriatric Certificate
  • Mental health first aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Health Care Aide Certificate
Working Conditions:

This is a non-smoking work environment. You will be required to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
