Job Summary
The Government of Alberta is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bridge Technologist to join the Regional teams in the Construction and Maintenance Division. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for performing various bridge-related tasks, including inspections, assessments, maintenance, and rehabilitation needs, planning, reviewing reports, and construction functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of the Bridge Maintenance Program on Provincial Highways.
- Engage engineering consultants to provide supervision and technical answers for various maintenance projects.
- Perform contract administration and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
- Assist in the delivery of other bridge programs and provide support to external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Bridge Manager to develop and implement strategies for maintaining and improving bridge infrastructure.
Requirements
- Detailed knowledge of bridge construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation practices.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in contract administration and project management software.
