Assistant Buyer

OYATO FOOD INC. is seeking a skilled Assistant Buyer to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining contact with suppliers, negotiating prices, and selecting merchandise for resale.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to negotiate prices and credit terms
- Select and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring adequate stock levels
- Review requirements of the establishment and determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase
- Provide excellent customer service and support to internal stakeholders
- Visit trade shows, showrooms, factories, and product design events to stay up-to-date on industry trends
- College/CEGEP degree or equivalent experience
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
OYATO FOOD INC. is a dynamic and fast-paced wholesale establishment/store. As a Buyer, you will be working in an urban area, with regular travel required to visit suppliers and attend industry events.
