Material Handler

Job Summary
The Material Handler position at Linamar Corporation is a key role in supporting our production and shipping team in a fast-paced work environment. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by loading, unloading, and moving materials as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks in shipping and receiving areas, ensuring accurate and efficient material handling.
- Manually pick, package, bank, or wrap a variety of materials, maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.
- Store materials in proper storage areas, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Ensure the flow of materials to all machines and assembly areas, adhering to first-in, first-out principles.
- Assist in emptying waste in outside containers and chip bins, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement programs, contributing to the growth and development of the team.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent general education.
- Prior fork truck driving experience is required.
- Prior computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access are preferred.
- Ability to interact with various personnel to confirm details, coordinate tasks, and discuss concerns and resolutions.
- Able to work in a team and independently as needed.
