About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer Advisor to join our team at RONA Inc. As an Instructional Designer Advisor, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of various learning solutions to support the onboarding, development, and maintenance of skills and behaviors required for our employees to perform their work effectively in a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality learning solutions, including e-learning modules, classroom training, and virtual training programs.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify learning needs and develop training content that meets those needs.
  • Develop and maintain learning materials, including courseware, assessments, and evaluations.
  • Conduct training needs assessments and analyze data to inform training program development.
  • Provide coaching and consultation to employees on the use of approved authoring tools and processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in instructional design and learning technology.
Requirements
  • University studies in a field related to training, such as instructional design, techno-pedagogy, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a training designer or instructional designer role, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and large-scale content libraries.
  • Strong skills in managing relationships, providing advisory services, and fostering collaborative work.
  • Ability to set priorities to manage multiple tasks at once and produce results in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
  • Motivation and results-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 suite software and Articulate 360.
  • Knowledge of adult learning styles, instructional design best practices, and models like ADDIE.
