Job Title: Database Systems Developer

FLAMINKO INC. is seeking a skilled Database Systems Developer to join our team. As a key member of our data management team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our computer databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain database systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Document customer requirements for projects and ensure data collection and administration policy are in place
  • Setup IT infrastructure to allow applications to access databases
  • Test data models and database management systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Design and develop databases to meet business needs
  • Operate database management systems to analyze data and provide insights
  • Develop and implement data administration policy, standards, and models
  • Research and document data requirements, data collection, and administration policy
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP education
  • 1-2 years of experience in database development and management
  • Strong knowledge of R, Linux, networking software, MySQL, database software, Ajax, Git, Python, and SQL
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Work Environment:
  • Hybrid work arrangement
  • 35 hours per week
  • English language
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Participates in a government or community program that supports newcomers and refugees
  • Recruits newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or natural disaster
