Waitstaff

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Waitstaff to join our team at Compass Group Canada. As a Waitstaff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room, take food and beverage orders, and deliver items in an efficient manner.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally, maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients, advising guests on appropriate combinations and accommodating special requests.
• Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are met.
• Promptly address complaints or issues, relaying relevant information to supervisors.
• Ensure the dining room is properly set up prior to and after service periods, maintaining a clean and neat environment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in the food services industry.
• A valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to work well with others.
• Physical ability to lift and transfer heavy, hot items, and stand/walk for majority of shift.
