Fraser Health is seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at Burnaby Hospital. As a Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission to deliver exceptional health services.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and diagnose patients' physical conditions, developing personalized treatment plans to achieve optimal health outcomes.
- Implement evidence-based interventions, educating patients and caregivers on self-management, health promotion, and injury/disability prevention.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to ensure seamless patient care, identifying referrals for physiotherapy services and facilitating connections to relevant health care/community programs.
- Establish a therapeutic relationship with patients, advocating for their rights to privacy, dignity, and access to information.
- Current full registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
- Knowledge of physiotherapy theory and practice within a patient and family-centered model of care.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals, both verbally and in writing.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
