We are seeking a highly skilled Bid and Proposal Engineer to join our team. As a Bid and Proposal Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the Proposal team in the preparation of technical proposals.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for analyzing customer requirements and proposing a high-level solution. This includes defining statement of work for internal department estimation, preparing technical proposals, ensuring compliance to customer requirements, estimating implementation material costs, preparing specifications for potential subcontractors, managing technical and cost inputs from subcontractors and internal departments, presenting solution and costs to senior management or customer, guiding the proposals through the Gate process, providing technical support to Marketing, and providing technical marketing support in the field (demonstrations, presentations) with prospective customers and at industry conferences/events.
Requirements
You must have a Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering, and a minimum 5 years of Bid & Proposal experience (or equivalent), either leading or supporting the Proposal team. Experience with naval communication systems is preferable. You should also be familiar with medium to large RFPs, common contractual documents, compliance matrices, and the like.
You should be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, and have strong interpersonal skills and work well in as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Eligibility Criteria
You must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program, eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2 / NATO Secret security clearance, and meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
