Digital Transformation

We are embarking on a digital transformation journey to modernize our operations in an increasingly technology-driven world. We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee the successful delivery of our digital technology projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management execution and change management for organizational-wide digital software implementation.

This role will be accountable for managing the entire project lifecycle, from initiation through to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The successful candidate will lead and support cross-functional teams consisting of developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to execute project deliverables.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and documenting business requirements by liaising with internal departments and key personnel to develop project goals, objectives, roles, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinating with Communications personnel to ensure all phases and expectations of the projects are communicated internally and externally where required.
  • Developing and executing change management strategies that minimize obstacles and ensure a smooth adoption of the digital change.
  • Collaborating with Finance and IT leadership to prepare and track project budgets and ensure resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Ensuring projects are developed and executed in accordance with project management best practices, IT governance standards, and ABSA's internal quality management program (ISO 9001).
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT digital transformation project management.
  • A strong understanding of software development, enterprise-wide system upgrades, change management systems integration, and/or digital infrastructure projects.
  • Applied experience with project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Asana, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as 'Agile' or 'Waterfall'.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, and software development lifecycle.
