The Lawyers Assistance Programme of British Columbia is seeking a skilled Lawyer Counsellor to provide confidential support and guidance to lawyers, their families, and staff. As a registered counsellor, psychologist, or social worker, you will possess empathy, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to further your education and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counselling services to lawyers, their families, and staff.
- Develop and maintain a resource listing of referral services, including individual healthcare providers and treatment programs.
- Market the Lawyers Assistance Programme of BC throughout the province.
- Plan and present educational programs for the legal community on potential lawyer impairment, treatment, and prevention measures.
- Continuously update your knowledge and skills to provide the best possible support to our clients.
Requirements:
- Empathy and excellent communication skills.
- Experience in providing counselling services, preferably with impaired professionals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to the values and principles of the Lawyers Assistance Programme of BC.
- Willingness to learn and grow professionally.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary range of $75,000 to $110,000 per year.
- A comprehensive benefits package, including dental care, disability insurance, extended health care, and life insurance.
- A hybrid remote work arrangement in Vancouver, BC.
