Role Overview

As a Mechanical Engineer - Process Piping Expert at WSP Canada, you will be responsible for designing piping systems, process equipment, and mechanical systems for industrial and mining projects. You will work closely with our team of engineers to develop engineering designs, perform calculations, and review documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop piping systems, process equipment, and mechanical systems
  • Perform engineering calculations and review documents
  • Supervise and guide a team of designers
  • Project manage discipline lead projects as assigned by the Team Lead
  • Build and maintain client relationships
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer working primarily in design roles
  • Minimum 4+ years' experience as a licensed P.Eng
  • P.Eng license with PEO
  • Experience in industrial and/or mining projects
  • Relevant experience in the design of process piping, preparation of equipment datasheets and specifications
  • Experience with pipe stress analysis (CAESAR II) is an asset
  • Knowledge of ASME, API, MSS, ASTM, NFPA, CSA standards
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario, other provinces/states is a benefit
