We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at Canadian Orthodontic Partners. As a key member of our orthodontic care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personalized patient care and support, building strong relationships with each patient.
- Conduct thorough dental hygiene treatments, ensuring optimal oral health for our patients.
- Collect and review patient medical and dental history to inform treatment plans.
- Prepare patients for orthodontic examinations and procedures.
- Take X-rays and maintain accurate records of patient treatment.
- Examine gums for infections and provide thorough cleanings and polishing.
- Perform bonding and removal of orthodontic appliances and brackets.
- Educate patients on good oral hygiene habits and treatment progress.
- Update patient records and examination notes.
- Perform lab duties and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues to ensure seamless care.
- 2+ years of experience as a Dental Hygienist (preferred but not required).
- Successful completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree program.
- Registration and/or licensure by the dental hygiene regulatory authority within the province, in good standing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease.
- Great time management and organizational skills.
- Experience in an orthodontic office (preferred but not required).
- Current CPR and First Aid training.
