Radiology Team Supervisor

Nova Scotia Health is seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Team Lead in the Division of Diagnostic Imaging. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
The Team Lead will be responsible for the organization and supervision of the daily operation of General Imaging, ensuring that all aspects of patient care are met. In addition to supervisory duties, the successful candidate will also perform clinical duties within their field of competency.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in radiological technology, preferably with a minimum of three years' recent experience working as a technologist in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with demonstrated progressive leadership responsibilities in a multi-modality/site imaging department.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring competency and maintaining an ongoing interest in updating knowledge on new equipment and procedures
- Practicing excellent patient care, demonstrating courtesy, kindness, and understanding using effective communication skills
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective department operations
- Providing leadership and guidance to team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives
The successful candidate will be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology, hold Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification, and possess Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure.
This is a permanent full-time position, with a biweekly schedule of 75 hours. Shift work is required, including evenings, nights, and weekends. The hourly rate is $34.40 - $41.76, with benefits including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
