Software Development Engineer, Fulfillment Technologies Specialist

As a Software Development Engineer on Amazon's Fulfillment Technologies team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing innovative software solutions that optimize labor management and staffing decisions across Amazon's global fulfillment network. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations, enabling us to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, software engineers, and user experience designers, to scope, design, implement, test, and deliver software solutions that meet business requirements.
- Develop and maintain high-quality software code, adhering to coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations best practices.
- Partner with junior engineers to mentor and guide them in their software development journey, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.

Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) is a cutting-edge team that powers Amazon's global fulfillment network. We invent and deliver software, hardware, and data science solutions that orchestrate processes, robots, machines, and people. Our Workforce Optimization team is dedicated to automating labor management and staffing decisions, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional customer experiences.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
