Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is $42,857 - $53,273 per year, based on a 35-hour workweek and an hourly rate of $36.69 - $45.81. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including four weeks of vacation, comprehensive health benefits, and a pension plan.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at Langley Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing routine screening mammography, diagnostic radiography/fluoroscopy, and other medical imaging procedures. You will work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform general duty radiographic/fluoroscopic and screening mammography procedures consistent with established standards and protocols.
- Operate computerized imaging equipment, including processing and archiving of acquired data.
- Maintain accurate records in the Radiology Information System (RIS) and check resultant images for technical quality.
- Assist program participants with completion of questionnaires and promote education in breast cancer and risk factors.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Successful completion of CAMRT Mammography 1 or equivalent.
- One year's recent experience in mammography procedures and recent experience performing general radiographic procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform radiographic and screening mammography examinations in compliance with departmental standards.
