About the Job

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mail Service Courier to join our team at Eazy Express. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for delivering and picking up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, as well as operating and driving automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand
  • Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products
  • Provide exceptional customer service and professionalism in all interactions
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Keep accurate records of items received and delivered
  • Load and unload goods
  • Sort packages for delivery
  • Follow directions and read maps to ensure efficient delivery routes
  • Use maps and other trip planning aids to optimize delivery routes
  • Record trip information, including vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any issues encountered
  • Provide customer service and support to clients
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance
Requirements
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles)
  • Local transportation/travel experience
  • Criminal record check
  • Bondable
  • Driver's validity licence check
  • Driving record check (abstract)
  • Basic security clearance
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Cellular phone
  • Gloves
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, fast-paced environment, tight deadlines, and overtime. The successful candidate will be able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
