Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Brave Spaces Early Learning Commons. As a Child Development Specialist, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children to grow and thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties
  • Encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
Requirements
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification
  • Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR certification
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
