Job Title: Tile Setter

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at IMPERIAL CONSTRUCTION AND RESTORATION INC.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered, mixing and applying adhesives, and setting tiles in place. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces for tile installation, including measuring and marking
  • Mix and apply adhesives, such as mortar and cement
  • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base
  • Align and straighten tiles to ensure a professional finish
  • Prepare and install tile strips
  • Supervise other workers and instruct apprentices
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
  • Estimate costs and materials for tile installation projects
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in tile installation
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a dusty and noisy environment
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work at heights
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and have good hand-eye coordination
Working Conditions:

  • Physically demanding role that requires standing, bending, and lifting
